Balloon Championship Awes Baton Rouge
The Pennington Balloon Championship experienced a little bad weather, but that didn't stop the crowd from enjoying the festivities.
"We didn't think the show would go on, but we knew if someone could do it it would be the US Military," said spectator Dirk Burton.
Though the balloons never reached the sky, folks at the festival got a chance to see the US Army Black Dagger precision parachuting team.
"This time it looked like they were surfing on the air," said eight-year old Clay Burton, about the parachute demonstration.
Luckily all the balloons participating in the event showed up to wow the crowd with the ever impressive balloon glow.
The evening was capped off with another aerial display by the Black Daggers and a firework show.
