State wildlife officials are seeking information about the shooting of a bald eagle at Vernon Lake near Anacoco.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says a resident found the dead eagle on Jan. 13.
The eagle had been shot with a small caliber gun.
Officials are offering up to a $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
Eagles are no longer considered an endangered species but are still considered protected.
