BATON ROUGE - A Baker woman has been indicted in the January shooting death of another woman.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged 38-year-old Kolande Williams with second-degree murder Wednesday in the death of 31-year-old Kimberly Stewart.
A second-degree murder conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
Police Chief Mike Knaps has said an argument between the two women lead to the shooting.
