Baker Mayor Harold Rideau and Police Chief Mike Knaps have issued a declaration to the citizens of Baker that as of 8 p.m. today there will be until 8 a.m.

This measure applies to motorists and pedestrians on city streets.

The curfew will exempt medical, public works, city utility and emergency personnel.

People with legitimate business will be granted a special exemption and enforcement of the curfew will be at the discretion of Baker City police.
