BAKER- A local family is trying to buy back a 1940's yellow coupe for their beloved father's 65th birthday.

Bill Mosely of Baker, Louisiana has struggled with Parkinson's disease for over a decade. His son, Hunter Mosely, says his disease has take a turn for the worse within the past two years.

Bill opened up Baker Glass in 1979. He soon began restoring cars, and the yellow coupe was his first.

"Dad had multiple cars that he restored, but this was his first one, this was his baby, he had more connection with his car than any other one," Hunter told WBRZ.

The family says the car played a major role in their childhood, but as the family grew, the decision to sell the car was made. Not long after that, Bill was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

As his condition worsens, his family wants to bring one gift back into his life for his 65th birthday.

The yellow coupe has been sitting off Blackwater Road for over six years. Bill's family has made multiple attempts to reach the owner of the car.

"We're hoping that he can see that its still sitting there, and it does have sentimental value to us, and he would maybe consider selling it back to us," Hunter says.
