The Baker School Board has voted to offer Superintendent Estes Taplin a one-year contract to remain in his post.
The vote on the contract offer came after a lengthy executive session Tuesday and none of the details of the contract were made public.
Board attorney Veronica Sizer said Taplin's salary would be the same as in his previous contract.
The new contract would begin Oct. 1.
The vote was 4-1 with board member George Gallman voting against the contract offer.
