Bail bondsman arrested for illegally firing gun
PAINCOURTVILLE- A bail bondsman has been arrested in Assumption Parish, after authorities say he illegally fired his weapon.
Deputies say Tyrone Williams, owner of Tyrone Bail Bond Service, was running down a fugitive that was wanted in Lafourche Parish for Contempt of Court and Issuing Worthless Checks.
They say while in a residential area of Paincourtville, Williams fired several shots toward the fugitive, trying to scare him.
After the fugitive gave himself up to Williams, deputies told Williams to bring the fugitive to the Assumption Parish Jail.
Williams later turned himself into authorities, and was booked into the Assumption Parish Jail for Illegal Use of a Weapon.
His bond was set at $5000 and he was since bonded out.
