Bad weather closes school for St. Mary Parish
MORGAN CITY - Heavy rain and flood watches prompted a coastal school district to cancel classes tomorrow.
The St. Mary Parish School Board announced on their website this evening that they would cancel Wednesday classes, due to the bad weather.
Most of southern Louisiana is under a flash flood watch as heavy rain moves through. Some areas are predicted to receive up to seven or eight inches of rain over the next 72 hours.
