Backhoe blamed for hit-and-run injury
BATON ROUGE - Witnesses said a backhoe driver is to blame for a hit-and-run which sent a man to the hospital today in Baton Rouge.
It happened on Sennette Street near Thomas Delpit in old south Baton Rouge just before 2 p.m.
Witnesses told News 2 a man driving a backhoe struck another man on foot, then fled the scene on the heavy machinery.
Police and EMS responded to the scene and transported the injured man to the hospital. They said he only had minor injuries.
