Baby killed in crash Tuesday night
PRAIRIEVILLE - A five-month-old died in a crash in Ascension Parish, State Police reported late Tuesday.
Emanuel Lange, Jr., was killed in the crash and another 13-year-old was hurt when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 73 around six o'clock Tuesday night. Investigators said the baby boy died, despite being properly restrained.
Investigators said Adria Brignac, 31, made a left turn into traffic and crashed into Tennille Willis, 35. Willis' car, with the kids inside, left the roadway after it was hit and smashed into a utility pole.
State Police said everyone was buckled up in both vehicles, but the wreck still resulted in injuries for survivors and the death of the child.
Brignac was cited with a left turn violation.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and further charges may be pending.
