Law enforcement agencies from Marksville to Miami are trying to determine if the three Avoyelles Parish Jail escapees are involved in any crimes committed over the past two weeks, including a case in which a woman's fingers were cut off.

U.S. Marshals found the three escapees - Quentin M. Truehill, Kentrell F. Johnson, and Peter M. Hughes hiding out at a Miami motel and arrested them on Monday night.

Avoyelles Parish deputies say the three escaped from the jail March 30 after Truehill took a
correctional officer at knifepoint and forced him to open a door.
