Avoid College Drive this weekend
BATON ROUGE- Get ready for a nightmare Saturday on College Drive since the city is closing both southbound (headed from I-10 to Perkins) lanes and moving traffic to the center turn lane.
The closure is for sewer repairs and will impact the street in front of Wal Mart. It begins about 7 a.m.
Crews are expected to open one of the closed lanes Saturday evening but the other lane will remain closed to traffic until early next week. The delay is so that new asphalt can be put into place after the rain that is forecast for late Sunday and Monday, a spokesperson said in an email Friday.
Drivers should expect delays.
