BATON ROUGE- Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured two people at a gas station in Baton Rouge early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the Raceway gas station in the 7100 block of Airline Highway north of Greenwell Springs just after 2 a.m. Right now very few details are known, but it appears the victims were injured after several shots were fired near the intersection of Airline Highway and Victoria Drive.

According to Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. with the Baton Rouge Police Department, one person suffered life threatening injuries. The second victim's injuries are not expected to be life threatening.

Just last week, police responded to the same gas station after a large crowd gathered in the parking lot and a man started shooting. No one was hurt in that incident.

Authorities have not released any more information at this time. Check back for details.
