Authorities: Miss. woman offered to sell her baby
NEW ORLEANS- A Mississippi woman who police say offered to sell her infant son to a Louisiana woman she met through an online classified ad, has been arrested.
Authorities say 23-year-old Bobbie Jo Stojic of Bay St. Louis was freed on $5,000 bond after her Oct. 29 arrest.
Stojic allegedly offered to sell her 4-month-old son for $5,000 in a text message sent last month to a woman in Kenner who answered her Craigslist ad for baby clothes.
Authorities say Stojic denied the allegations after the other woman notified the Mississippi Department of Human Services.
It's not clear on whether Stojic has an attorney.
