LETTSWORTH- Authorities are investigating a possible murder in Pointe Coupee Parish.

According to the Sheriff's Department, a man was found shot in his car at the corner of Church and Johson Street in Lettsworth, located in the northern part of Pointe Coupee Parish.

The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Terrell Antoine Davis.

As of 5 a.m. Thursday morning, Sheriff's Deputies were still on the scene waiting for the State Police crime lab to arrive.

This is the second shooting to happen in Pointe Coupee Parish in the last two weeks.

"We're a parish that sometimes goes a whole year without a murder and to have two in this short period of time is really shocking," said PCPSO spokesperson, Captain Steve Juge.

Not many details have been released at this time. This story will be updated as new information becomes available.

Sheriff's Deputies are asking anyone with information to contact the Pointe Coupee Criminal Investigation Division at 225-638-5445.
