Authorities identify man killed in Monday night shooting on Clayton Drive

BATON ROUGE- Officers responded to a fatal shooting on Clayton Drive Monday night.

The shooting occurred around 8:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Clayton Drive near Plank Road.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the man killed was identified as 45-year-old Thomas Snowden. Authorities say Snowden was killed inside his home.

Investigators believe that robbery is the motive of the shooting. There are no known suspect(s) at this time, according to police.

According to arrests reports, Snowden had previous run-ins with the law. In 2015 he was arrested on drug charges.
