BATON ROUGE - The attorney representing one of LSU's band directors, Roy King, said King was put on administrative leave because of a witch-hunt jealous colleagues are conducting.

"It's a travesty," Jill Craft said about King's leave. King directs the Tiger Marching Band where he serves as the primary instructor, overseeing administrative activities including drill and show design.

LSU said it could not comment on the situation.

Craft said it is not exactly clear what investigation is being conducted but would discuss the matter in a television interview scheduled with WBRZ for later Wednesday afternoon.
