Attorney General Caldwell files lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline

Baton Rouge- Attorney General Buddy Caldwell has filed a civil action lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline, LLC.
The suit claims GSK illegally marked, priced, sold and promoted the diabetes medication rosiglitazone maleate under the trade names Avandia, Avandamet and Avandaryl.
The suit claims that Louisiana's Medicaid program paid GSK $36 million for fraudulently induced Avandia reimbursements.
