Terrebonne Parish deputies say a woman is in stable condition after an attempted murder-suicide.

It happened 10 p.m. Sunday at the Misty Bayou Apartments in Houma.

Deputies say Jennifer Lucas and her live-in boyfriend Wayne Williams got into an argument. She then left the apartment and returned with her parents to get some clothes.

Deputies say Williams came into the apartment and shot Lucas in her neck.

Williams then allegedly threatened to kill Lucas' parents before he shot himself.

Lucas was later transported to an out of town hospital to receive further medical attention where she remains in stable condition.
