ATM swiped in smash-and-grab
HAMMOND- Thieves used a pick-up truck to tear-off the front of a building and steal the ATM inside.
Sheriff's deputies said the crooks hooked a chain to the front doors of Ryan's Deli on South Range Road and pulled them down. The framework around the doors and a portion of the building collapsed.
Investigators believe they used the hook and chain to pull the ATM machine out and took parts of it, including the money container.
Monday, Baton Rouge Police said parts of an ATM were found in a dumpster on Choctaw, but investigators are not connecting it to the case. But, police said what was found is being processed, which could include for fingerprints.
