BATON ROUGE - State Senator Rick Ward (R) stopped by 2une In Wednesday to talk about his piece of legislation that would block recalled officials from immediately running for the same office again.
It comes as voters head to the polls this weekend in Port Allen. Ex-Mayor Deedy Slaughter is once again on the ballot, after she was just recalled late last year. If passed, Sen. Ward's legislation would keep it from happening again.
