BATON ROUGE - La. Senator Sharon Weston Broome joined us on 2une In Wednesday to talk about the latest from the capitol, including gun-carrying lawmakers, common core, St. George incorporation and more.
She also discussed one of her bills that is coming up soon this legislative session. It's a Good Samaritan law that, if passed, would allow someone who sees an overdose victim to call 911 and take the necessary steps to help them. It would also allow all first responders in the state to carry the antidote needed for overdoses.
