At least 75 fire fighters working blaze in Ascension Parish
At least 75 fire fighters are on scene of a massive house fire in St. Amant.
St. Amant Fire Chief James LeBlanc told News 2, he was the first on scene and saw heavy flames and smoke pouring out of the attic of the home.
It started just before 7pm Saturday night near Talley Road and Highway 431.
At least eight different volunteer fire departments are on the scene of the fire in Ascension Parish.
It is unclear what caused the fire right now, but parts of Highway 431 are blocked as hoses cross the highway.
No one was hurt. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
