Assumption School Board eyes teacher layoffs

Assumption Parish school system officials are looking at job cuts in the system.
This would be the third reduction in employees since 2004.
School officials have not said who could be fired or how many employees would be involved.
The school board will hold a special meeting today to discuss the plan, and residents will protest outside.
