Assessing tornado damage in Dallas area
ARLINGTON - The National Weather Service said yesterday's tornado had wind gusts up to 135 miles an hour struck the Dallas suburb of Arlington. Experts are looking for clues today in the debris to determine just how many tornadoes hit the region. The storms damaged hundreds of homes, businesses, but there are no reports of fatalities. A physical therapist at a Dallas-area nursing home said the tornado did not sound liked a freight train, rather it sounded like a bomb hit the building. An entire wing of the nursing home crumbled in the storm.
