Ascension residents invited to emergency preparedness meeting
GONZALES – Ascension Parish residents are invited to an emergency preparedness meeting on March. 16.
Ascension Parish President Kenny Matassa will announce parish drainage, flood zone and emergency preparedness and will take questions from the public.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the library at 708 S. Irma Blvd in Gonzales.
“Our staff will be on hand to answer questions like what residents need to do before and after a storm to protect their family and property,” Matassa said. “Staff members will offer useful tips on preparing for a flood, as well as, information on flood insurance.”
