DONALDSONVILLE, La. - Workers at four stores in Ascension Parish face possible fines for selling alcohol to minors during a sheriff’s office sting operation.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala said investigators with the Juvenile Division took 17-year-olds around to 17 convenience stores in the parish and had them attempt to buy alcohol there.
Bacala said the teens successfully bought alcohol at the Prairieville Super Stop on Highway 73, Andy’s Grocery on Highway 621, Top Fuel on Airline Highway and at Fisherman’s One Stop.
The employees who sold alcohol to the teens were all issued summons.
