ASCENSION- Whether you're a fan of swamp-pop or music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, the Ascension Music Jam will have something for you.

The seven hour music concert features bands exclusively from Ascension Parish. This is the inaugural music jam, It was started to showcase some of the local talent the parish has to offer.

It's a great event if you want to go hang out with friends and listen to music. The festival is also great for anyone who likes to dance. There will be a dancing stage set up off to the side where people can let loose.

Livingston Parish has a rich history of talented musicians, and the festival serves as a great way to showcase them. Everyone is encouraged to come out and have a great time.

The event will be held at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center this Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. Admission will be $5 a person.
