PRAIRIEVILLE - Deputies are seeking information that could identify two suspects that tried to use counterfeit bills at the Dollar General in Prairieville Sunday.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the two suspects were confronted about the counterfeit bills and immediately fled the store in a blue older model truck.
Deputies said the truck had a license plate possibly reading 28-5FTWR, but witnesses could not identify the state listed on the plate.
The pair also shoplifted cigarettes and a bag of ice as they left the store, according to Major Kevin Hanna.
