Arson set at house of former murder scene
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge police are investigating an early Sunday morning arson.
It happened on the 3200 block of Mission Drive at the same house where Travis Denzel Polk, 21, was killed about a month ago.
Investigators tell News 2 that they haven't ruled out the possibility that the fire was set to cover up other crimes.
The fire department says multiple fires were set throughout the home, and flames were through the roof when they arrived.
Officials say the house was raided a couple weeks ago and multiple people were arrested, but didn't give more details about why. Neighbors told News 2 after the murder that the house was being used for drug trafficking.
No word yet about who the arsonist could be. Anyone with information is asked to call Baton Rouge Fire Investigators at 354-1419.
