Arson determined to be cause of house fire
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters said someone intentionally set fires which damaged a home in Baton Rouge early Monday morning.
The fire happened at 2715 Iroquois Street and was called in at 5:19 a.m. Firefighters said they found several small fires inside the home when they got on scene, and most of the damage was contained to a bedroom.
Firefighters said there were other parts of the home where belongings had been set on fire, but those were quickly extinguished and caused little damage to the house.
No one was at the residence when firefighters arrived. They said investigators are still working to determine who lived there.
