Arrow attack on cat
NORWICH, CONNECTICUT- A cat survived being shot with an arrow in an incident authorities described as target practice.
The Mayor of Norwich says he was campaigning for re-election when he says he found the cat on the porch of a house. It had been shot with a 15-inch arrow. He says he called police and animal control took the cat to a vet.
The vet says the arrow missed vital organs and had been in the cat for two days.
The cat is called Elliot and the vet says the tissue around the wound hardened and sealed blood vessels, likely preventing Elliot from bleeding to death.
Elliot is not out of the woods, since he might have nerve damage to his front limbs.
