Arrogant driver busted for speeding around NYC in 24 minutes
NEW YORK CITY - A 30-year-old Canadian national faces serious traffic charges in the Big Apple after he posted a video on YouTube, where he sped around the city in about 24 minutes.
WNBC TV reported Christopher Adam Tang claimed he never went over 100 mph and ran only one stop light while filming the loop. Tang also described his drive as a record.
The ride was captured by a camera mounted on the dashboard of Tang's 2006 BMW Z4.
According to the TV report, Tang was arrested for reckless driving, reckless endangerment and other misdemeanor charges. Bond was set at $10,000.
Tang apparently declined assistance in obtaining an attorney, and said he made more than enough money as a day trader to hire his own attorney.
Police tracked Tang through his IP address to make the arrest.
