Arrests made in LSU video voyeurism case
BATON ROUGE - LSU Police said Monday they are working on extraditing a man arrested in Texas on suspicion of video voyeurism on the LSU campus.
Police in Waco arrested Mystyr Stewart, 27, on Friday. He was a registered sex offender out of Texas and was also on probation for armed robbery.
LSU Police accused Stewart of using a cell phone to get pictures of woman showering in Herget Hall. The victim told investigators she saw the phone, put on a towel and confronted Stewart, who was completely naked and claimed to have dropped his phone. Police said people in the dorm helped her identify Stewart as the suspect.
Police also arrested Kayla Crear, who is charged with accessory after the fact of video voyeurism. Police said she initially lied to them about knowing Stewart, but when she was confronted with surveillance video of them together admitted she gave Stewart a ride to Beaumont, Texas, and then told police he was headed to Waco.
