Roy Jones has grabbed plenty of headlines lately from his arrest a week ago to his connection with the ongoing criminal investigation of the DeSoto Council on Aging.
Now he wants to be part of Mansfield's leadership.
Jones is one of 10 people who filed as candidates for various offices that will appear on election ballots March 27 in DeSoto Parish.
Jones qualified for the Mansfield alderman seat being vacated by Dudley Kemper.
DeSoto sheriff's investigators arrested Jones last month on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things after Council on Aging property was found in December at a church where he formerly served as pastor.
