Arrested for arson
BATON ROUGE - Police say a woman was arrested Saturday for setting an apartment complex on fire with as many as 18 people inside.
East Side Fire Department says Ganea Montague, 36, set an apartment on fire in two separate places back on April 7th at around 6:30 a.m. Both adults and kids were home at the time of the incident.
It happened on the 1000 block of Manson Drive off of Old Hammond Highway.
Officials say Montague used to live at that apartment, but was recently evicted.
Arrest records say Montague was identified by witnesses of the crime.
