BATON ROUGE - Police said investigators in Lafayette arrested a man on suspicion of robbing two banks in Baton Rouge at the beginning of the month.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with Baton Rouge Police said authorities arrested Bryan Harris, 35, on an unrelated charge on Tuesday, Nov. 5. He was sent to Baton Rouge the next day, where he was booked into the jail on suspicion of two bank robberies.

Investigators said Harris robbed the Teche Bank on Old Hammond Highway back on Oct. 30, and then on Nov. 1 robbed the Chase Bank in the Albertson's Grocery on College Drive.

Harris faces two counts of first degree robbery in Baton Rouge.
