Arrest made in Denham Springs murder
DENHAM SPRINGS - Police arrested a man Tuesday in connection with a shooting death from this past weekend in Denham Springs.
Police accused 18-year-old Timothy Clayton from Walker of first degree murder. Investigators said he shot and killed Brandon Jones at a barber shop Saturday night.
Family members said Jones was taking his girlfriend's 6-year-old son to the barber shop when the shooting happened. The child was not injured in the shooting.
Police said witnesses helped them develop Clayton into a suspect, and they arrested him during questioning just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
