BELLE ROSE - An arrest has been made in Assumption Parish in connection with the murder of man in Belle Rose.

28-year-old Harrison Truhill of Napoleonville is in the Assumption Parish Detention Center charged with second degree murder.

Tony Rodriquez's, 23, body was found in a canal last Wednesday in Iberville Parish.  He disappeared Tuesday after being shot when he and a friend made a wrong turn in Belle Rose.  The friend told authorities they stopped to look at a map for directions when two men with guns jumped in front of their vehicle then forced them out of a car into a nearby unoccupied house. A fight then broke out and Rodriguez was shot in the chest.

The other victim was able to get away and get help.

The Sheriff's office is not releasing any other information in the case at this time because the investigation is still ongoing.
