Arrest made in connection with Alaska Street shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police reported the arrest of a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting on Alaska Street last month.
Tyronn Collins, 21, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force on a warrant issued by BRPD investigators on Tuesday.
According to law enforcement, Collins was located at a residence on Lynn Drive and was later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of first degree murder.
Collins is believed to be the man behind a shooting that left 34-year-old Roderick Carolina dead in his apartment on the afternoon of Dec. 12.
