Arrest made in Assumption burglary case

BAYOU L’OURSE – An arrest has been made in the case of a burglary that took place at in May.

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported the arrest of Ryan Vaughn, 33, in connection with a residential burglary on May 19 in Bayou L’Ourse.

On the day of the incident, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home burglary at a location in a residential subdivision. In their investigation, deputies interviewed witnesses and also reviewed video surveillance.

During the investigation Vaughn was developed as a suspect. Witnesses identified a vehicle similar to that driven by Vaughn as having been in the area of the crime.

Authorities said the next day, the victims observed the pick-up truck driven by Vaughn in Terrebonne Parish. The vehicle was stopped by the Sheriff’s Office, towed and a search warrant was executed. The search resulted in the seizure of items stole from the residence.
