Arraignment set for Thursday in Lamonte murder
The defendants in the Lamonte murder case will be arraigned on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at 1 p.m. before Judge Zorraine Waguespack, according to the 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office.
Benny Deshan Flowers, 25, of LaPlace, Ronald Dean Bandy, Jr., 24, of Hammond, and Jarris Darnell Monroe, 23, of Metairie were indicted for first degree murder by a grand jury in Tangipahoa Parish last week.
The three are accused of invading Anthony and Grace Lamonte's home on South Baptist Road in Hammond on Aug. 23. Grace Lamonte was shot and killed and her husband was critically injured.
The jury also handed down indictments for criminal conspiracy to commit first degree murder for Alice Willo Walker, 33, and Justin Dwayne Walker, 17, both of Hammond.
