PRAIRIEVILLE – Deputies in Ascension Parish are investigating an armed robbery at a Verizon Wireless Store last week.

Investigators say the crime happened on Oct. 3 around 7:39 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Store on Airline Highway. An unknown black man, armed with a handgun, entered the store and ordered an employee to remove all the cash from the register and all IPhone and Samsung phones.

Investigators described the man as a medium or dark complexioned black man, about 5’11 with a thin build weighing about 170 pounds.
