Armed robber sought in Ascension Parish

GONZALES - Investigators said they're looking for a the armed man who held up a Dollar General Store in Gonzales this week.

Deputies said the man came into the store on Highway 44 around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, and demanded money from an employee at the register.

Investigators said the armed man took off without getting any money, though.

Deputies said the robber was a black male in a gray hooded sweatshirt under a light colored shirt, with a blue bandanna covering part of his face. Investigators said he was armed with a handgun, and wearing a black leather glove on one hand.
