Argument over school ends in shooting
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies have arrested a teen for attempted murder because he got to an argument with the victim about school.
According to deputies, D'Vonte Green, 17, was arguing with a man in front of house at the 700 block of Meadow Bend Drive. It was because Green did not want to go to school. During the verbal fight, Green pulled out a gun and fired 6 shots at the man.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center for treatment.
Green was arrested shortly afterwards blocks down from the scene. He is charged with attempted second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
