BATON ROUGE - So you think you're smart, and you've got all the answers. Well, give the practice LEAP tests a try.
Public school students wrapped up the first round of LEAP tests on Tuesday. They'll take math, science and social studies next month.
Over the past three years, East Baton Rouge Parish LEAP scores improved by nine percent, but the parish still gets two out of four stars, statewide.
The average school year for East Baton Rouge Parish public school students consists of many smaller standardized test to prepare them for LEAP.
"We actually have benchmark assessment tests that we provide to our students numerous times throughout the year and they're very LEAP like. So we really get a good idea throughout the year of how our students will do," EBR School System Spokesperson Chris Trahan said.
