Archie Manning discusses role as CFP selection committee member
BATON ROUGE - Archie Manning laughed at the Manning Passing Academy when asked about his new role as one of the 13 members of the College Football Playoff selection committee: he said the college football players around him probably had no idea.
"I don't think they know I'm on the committee," Manning said as he chuckled, "and I don't think they really care."
College football fans everywhere will care when Manning and 12 others on the pannel will decide the four teams who reach the first bowl subdivision semifinals.
Speaking of the playoffs, Manning has high hopes for his former NFL team, telling Sports 2's Brian Holland he likes what the Saints have this year.
