GONZALES - Sheriff's deputies arrested two people in a narcotics investigation this week in Ascension Parish.

Deputies arrested Justin Poche, 19, and Brennan Haymon, 22, both of Gonzales, on Wednesday as part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity.

Narcotics detectives arrested Poche during a traffic stop after they said they found heroin and synthetic marijuana in his vehicle. They then searched his residence where they said they found several Ultram pills, and arrested Haymon who was at the residence with a marijuana pipe.

Poche faces narcotics and drug paraphernalia charges, and is waiting bond in the Ascension Parish Jail. Haymon was given a misdemeanor summons and released.

Anyone with information on illegal drug activity is asked to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division at (225) 621-8350 or by texting 847411 to their anonymous tip line from any cellular device.
