APSO: Sex offender skipped out on registration again
GONZALES - Sheriff's deputies said a sex offender in Ascension Parish who has repeatedly ignored registration laws is once again missing, and has a warrant for his arrest.
Deputies said 36-year-old Wade Pardue was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 1999. After he was released from prison this past February, detectives at the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said he gave them his address and was given 30 days to pay his required registration fees.
Deputies said when that deadline passed with no payment they discovered Pardue wasn't at the address he gave them. Detectives haven't been able to locate him since.
Deputies said Pardue is a Tier 1 offender who was on parole until 2004 for his carnal knowledge conviction, and was later convicted of failing to register as a sex offender twice in 2011. Tier 1 sex offenders are required to register in Louisiana once a year for 15 years.
Pardue is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 179 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Investigators said he has multiple tattoos which cover his entire body.
Anyone who knows where Pardue can be found should contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at (225) 621-INFO (4636) or by texting their anonymous tip line at 847411. More information about sex offenders in the parish can be found on the sheriff's office website.
