APSO: Man tried to walk out with 65-inch TV
PRAIRIEVILLE - Sheriff's deputies asked for help identifying a man who investigators said tried to walk a 65-inch TV out of the Prairieville Walmart without paying for it.
Major Kevin Hanna with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said it happened on March 16. He said deputies were called in for a shoplifting complaint and told a man walked out of the store with an Ultra HD television without paying.
Workers said when they approached the man in the parking lot he abandoned the TV and took off. Hanna said the man was last seen heading toward Baton Rouge on Airline Highway in a gray 4-door Toyota Camry with dark tinted windows.
Anyone with information on the man's identity or any information about this attempted theft should call the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or text anonymous tips to 847411.
